Hey everyone, question from a very novice butterfly collector. I am aware that it is customary or proper to unfold scent folds in mounting specimens that have them, but my question is for those that don't. On species that do not have a scent fold but do have a significant "bowing" of the wing, is it proper to press the bowing flat thereby folding the lower part of the wing on top of itself, or should the bowing just be left as is, slightly above the rest of the wing. If my description is making no sense, I am speaking of species such as some tailless eurytides species (such as branchus) where the lower margin of the lower wing bows. Thanks to any and all who can assist me in the quandary.
Andrew
