Sorry, this was to a link to a post on the Ornithoptera facebook group relating to the sale of O. alexandrae on ebay, the specimen figured was taken from the wikipedia page. In the past he has done the same thing with a number of rare non obtainable species.

I just checked and his link is working here on my end. Starting bid is $100.00 No takers yet. Is also offering a splendid box of Gloss Papilio (spread) for $100.00 That's a very enticing price on that box as the specimens are all spread so nicely ! There are some numbers in black marker written on the glass below each specimen apparently denoting price (much like some dealers do) but, I don't know if these numbers are in rubles (?). And if the photo is of some box taken at a fair how can you offer such a thing for sale yourself. Those figures could be euro prices which would make that Papilio box completely un-affordable. I don't think this is the same fellow who sold a (U.V.lighted / blue) O.victoria a while back.

No, that's another one. The one you mentioned is again pushing "victoriae archeri" (actually, regis) on eBay. Freaks just cannot stop being freaks...

So what do I do with my bloody archeri then if it's not unique? I suppose the saving grace is that my regis is that goldish form, so it's OK to have a "normal" archeri, I mean regis.
