I forgot to mention that it was the great Entomologist Steve Johnson who discovered cleon on a single ridge in Iron Range many years ago... all specimens in Australian collections come from that very ridge and we have Steve to thank for that. I didn't know Steve personally however by all accounts he was one of the very best.
I don't think I can pick a favorite Lycaenid, but here's a photo I snapped of an ambush bug nymph devouring a Lycaenid I haven't yet come up with a positive i.d. on. What species of Lycaenid is it? Photo taken alongside Trail 2, Golden Eagle Ranch and Campground, front range of the Rocky Mountains near Colorado Springs. About 7,800 feet in altitude. Thanks for looking. Jim
