Nice item. Did you have the good fortune of finding and catching it yourself ? Or is it a purchased or traded item ? Also, how about some data about it. What country does it hail from, date + year capture, historic ? etc. etc.

Congratulations on that great personal capture! Gynandro's are very few and far between --- if ever collected. And already notable if Mr. Lewington has painted it. Bravo.

This a great forum, lots of extremely knowledgeable entomologists here that are very willing to help others. On another note can you tell us all about your forthcoming trip to the BMNH. Geoff Martin the curator is a very helpful and a nice fellow. You will not be allowed to take images i believe but tell us about the other gynandromorphs of A. cardamines in the BMNH. I wonder if there are any be similar specimens, yours may be unique, who knows. If you read this in time can you ask Geoff when all the British collections will be available online as I can't wait to view them. P.S. Also can you add a picture of Lewington's painting of your specimen? thanks Peter.

Andrew, thanks so much for sharing that. What a spectacular specimen! I've the good fortune to have a mosaic gynandromorph L.coridon but it's nowhere near as striking as your specimen. And welcome to the Forum. J
