I think this colour can be caused by humid conditions in specimen storage. I have seen old Troides specimens that look like this before, but I have never ever seen a single live one of this colour. Adam. Unless it spends to much time on the beach sunbathing and gets that nice tan . PS humid condition ? I must insert silica gel to my drawers as I have a small collection of Troides sp. and don't want that to happened . Or what a minute ! $$$ Paul

It is very nice to see what kind of beauties you guys have. I have only very few bird wings. But I will take some pictures next week.

Also, if you post photos via attachment I am sure that the site Admin will be very happy if you post them as .jpg files and keep the file size down to 100-200Kb each.
Adam.

For attachments, please use .jpg or .png or .gif formats. Otherwise some members won't be able to see your pictures. About sizing, it is less costful for me if you use not too heavy pictures. You can size down pictures by using Paint for example. Hosting is free for me if you use the "smart way" to attach pictures, see here : collector-secret.proboards.com/thread/11/attach-picture

No, still nothing here. Enry, have you thought of joining an image hosting service such as photobucket. It is free to join, easy to add images and then you just click on the URL and paste here. You can then show big images of your birdwings in all their glory.

I used to have hundreds of photo's on an image hosting site, fotopic.net, Adam and a few others may remember seeing loads of photo's of my swallowtails and after buying more space to keep adding more and more photo's the site closed down, never saw my money back, hours and hours of work uploading never to be seen again so i'm not really a big fan of them, I've also found some aren't much good with iOS so I can't view them on my iPad.

Sorry to hear that your collection website was closed down. Indeed there were lots of photos of your swallowtails there.
Adam.
