Hello, some time ago I have bought several specimens which are labeled as North Korean's. But they differ in size, colour and even in shape of their wings ... so do you think that they are fakes?

At least these don't appear to come from Li Jingke. He sometimes offers supposedly North Korean specimens, but I would be very suspicious of their data.

So why do you think the data could be fake, rather than just the variability of Parnassius bremeri?
Adam.

Once again, the whole love story ends up on eBay, ha-ha! Asking whether "they are fakes" was just an awkward attempt of self-protection and had nothing to do with the issues of Identification or Systematics... Just look at the price... Incredible!

Victor, Don't see the devil in all sellers. Michal is a true Parnassius collector, sometimes you buy many specimens because they are sold together and you have to resell a part of them. And if you are talking about this specimen on Ebay, 99 USD don't seem to me a crazy price for a country where it is nearly impossible to go today and in the future. Michal never talked about a "love story". And if Adam had said, "yes they are fake", Michal would have had difficulties selling them, so I don't think it was an "awkward attempt of self-protection" as you said.

I just meant the concern was NOT about the correctness of data or ID, as I think Adam has understood it, but about much more prosaic things, that's it. And as for the devil, I tend to see Him wherever He is, even if it's a case of a buyer...

Victor,
I don't see Your point, is it something wrong that I asked here if they are fakes? Such huge variability seemd to me a bit suspicious. Somebody said that the specimen is worth as much as buyer is willing to pay, so please, do not comment that price which in my opinion is not so "incredible".
I keep for myself most of them so correctness of data and good identification is important for me.
Michal
