This morning I have recieved an email from Song-yun Lang a taxonimist from China working on nymphalidae including Stichophthalma, I recently sent him the photo's of this specimen from N.W. Vietnam and having studied them he is of the belief that this is an undescribed taxon, so we shall have to wait and see, further specimens are required, I have 3 on the boards from Thanh, I think this will please Thanh as his main aim is to find new species within his homeland. I also think the fruhstorferi that he has found is a possible new s.sp being much darker than those from the type locality, again I'm no expert.
