Why did the Obrina Olivewing develop blue pigment?

I'm assuming there isn't much information on the question I'm asking, but do you think there would be any advantage to developing a blue pigment over using structural coloring? This is one of the only organisms on earth that actually has blue pigments! Please go easy on me, I'm curious but stupid.
