It is an undeniable fact that the Queen Alexandra's birdwing females are considered the largest butterflies. At the same time, various authors provide various data regarding the maximum value of its wingspan. From 25 to 30 cm.
Is there any real evidence for a maximum wingspan of 30 cm? Or is it still speculation or the consequences of incorrect wing spreading.

I recommend using forewing length measurement for comparison between size of specimens. Adam.
