Filmed in Lithuania, on September of 2020. There’s few species there such as: * (Tettigonia viridissima) * (Tettigonia cantans) * (Metrioptera brachyptera) * (Metrioptera bicolor) * (Metrioptera roeseli) * (Decticus verrucivorus) * (Pholidoptera griseoaptera) * (Platycleis albopunctata) * (Platycleis montana) Any idea which one is it? Or is it a different type, not listed in the options? Don’t remember the size of it, wasn’t small, but wasn’t gigantic either. Maybe half of an inch, if my memory serves me right. Elsewhere people suggested that it’s a Great Green Bush-cricket (Tettigonia viridissima).

An Orthoptera researcher sent me an e-mail asking me to post the following comment:
This species looks like an Ephippiger, an Uromenus or an Anonconotus. It’s an apterous species, but evidently an adult or sub-adult, judging by the length of the ovipositor.

Throughout the internet I got multiple different answers what this one may be, so it’s quite a task to come to the final conclusion.

I suspect that the only way to be absolutely sure would be for an expert to minutely examine the actual specimen, but I assume that is not possible.
