The famous French auction place, Drouot, will have a Natural History sale the 23rd of March. Here is the catalogue. No huge rarities like in the past (black Parnassius, O. alexandrae...) but some interesting specimens. I may be there, not sure.

Going through the catalogue, There is lot 240 " Morpho godarti assarpai, remarquable gynandromorphe symétrique" Looking at the picture I did not recognize a gynandromorph, and this one has upper wings female and bottom wings male : is that possible ? I have never seen or heard about this before ! What do you think ? Is this a fake or it is possible ... A+, Michel

I doubt the forewings are female, look more like male form in wich the external blue is diminished.

Anyone has been there or has followed the sale online ? Any interesting facts ?
I did not manage to attend it.

I have been on the online auction too, as Michel said, not big surprises, except during the morning auctions, lots were sold out very cheaply. The only afternoon surprise was the boxes from the ex-coll Rougeot at a crazy value.
Best wishes, Xavier
