Hi again,
I'm hoping someone can identify what bug this is. It looks like it's in the pupa lifecycle stage but I don't know. It fell off of my cat. Is it a flea, carpet beetle, etc?
Am I able to attach a picture??

I donated. Will that make me a premium member and able to post a picture? If not, what else do I need to do?

Hi, I'm hoping I may be able to get an identification of what bug pupa is this?? Flea? Black Carpet Beetle? The fuzzy bristles coming out, is it part of the cocoon or is it maybe cat hair that was broken off as my cat was digging at it?
What bug is this
Any replies, thank you very much!! Anige

Do you have other pictures? This is really hard to tell from this pic.
Thanks for the donation.

Do you have other pictures? This is really hard to tell from this pic. Thanks for the donation. Sadly I don't. It was taken with my cell phone and best I could zoom in. I took like 8 other pictures and those posted are the best ones. Even if there's not 100% identification, an educated guess would be wonderful or a more probable than not is okay based on what you're seeing. I'm guessing it may be a flea pupa but doesn't have the characteristic hairs sticking out of it. I've looked online for pupa/cocoons with hair like that and not found anything. You're most welcome!! Angie It is possible the hairs do not belong to the pupa, and are just stuck to its surface. If you wash it gently with water the hairs will fall off if they are not really part of the pupa. To be frank, this forum is populated by insect collectors and enthusiasts, most of whom (like me) wouldn't recognise a flea pupa if they saw one. Probably you would get more response from a cat or pet care forum, if it is a flea or other pet pest. Adam.
