Dear friends, could you help me to id Hyponephele butterflies. 1. first one was shot in Tajikistan, Pamir-Alai mnt, 2008-06-21 2. second one was shot in Tien Shan, Kazakhstan, 2012-06-23 thank you

Dear Askar, With the underside only, it is almost impossible. A view of the androconiae is more than helpful.

Hyponephele lycaon or Hyponephele lupina ? Il do agree with xavm : the upperside view is necessary for determination. Here is H. lycaon in copula from french Alps (Ubaye Valley, 2000 m asl), August 12, 2020.

Thank you very much, Xavier and jmg. lupina is the good guess. Lupina is seems most popular Hyponephele in our closest deserts. Some days ago i took photos of two specimen, unfortunately only underside.
