Greetings,
I believe your beetle is a species of Anobiidae, the deathwatch beetles. Your specimen looks a lot like a species of Stegobium, but I cannot see enough detail to be sure. The species Stegobium paniceum - the 'drugstore beetle' - is a very common pest species that is cosmopolitan in distribution.
