Greetings, Under the earlier thread about "Moving my collection to wooden drawers" under "Entomological Equipment", a discussion about prep methods was included and I mentioned that I would post some images at some point. Here are a couple, with a couple more to come. I've been experimenting with my phone's camera, so these aren't great, but they'll give a good example of my prep style. Most of my Nearctic collection is in unit trays, but these big guys are pinned loose because of their size. I've added two more images... Anoplophora spp.Batocera spp.RosenbergiaAnoplophora spp. 2Enjoy! Bandrow

Bandrow I really like your style spreading the legs. Your specimens look very neat. I may try next time I catch the beetle.

Hi Paul,
Thanks - I've always tried to present the specimens in an aesthetic, but safe, position. The Cerambycidae are spectacular with their antennae extending forward as in life, but realistically, it's just asking to get them broken. And I can get a lot more beetles into a single drawer with them "tucked"...
Cheers! Bandrow

Awesome collection of batocera, and I do like the compact setting structure.
