I would like to share a very important symptom difference between Covid-19 and colds/flu. Most symptoms are almost identical, except that if you have a runny nose it is NOT Covid-19, unless you are very unlucky and you have a cold/flu at the same time. People suffering from Covid-19 do not have a runny nose, but other symptoms are very similar to colds and flu.
Please ensure you wash your hands thoroughly for at least 20 seconds with soap or use alcohol sterilising gel whenever you return home or while out and about, and try not to touch your face until after washing your hands.
If you think you may have Covid-19 do not go to see the doctor or go to a hospital. Contact your country's health service online or by phone from home and they will advise you what to do.
Adam.

Adam, thank you for this interesting clarification. As far as I'm concerned, at least for the moment, I don't seem to be affected by the virus (I'm a little cold and my nose is runny!). And, in three days, I leave for the depths of the Guyanese forest where, until further information, the risk of contamination will remain low.
With other entomologists from the Association of Lepidopterists of France, we have planned a stay in Kyrgyzstan next July. Today, French people arriving in this country are placed under observation for 14 days in a medical center at Manas airport near Bishkek. Not conducive to the observation of Parnassiinae! Hopefully in July things will get better!

anna, Thank you for the comment. You are correct, it does seem that sometimes a runny nose can occur in Covid-19 patients, but that could be due to other infections at the same time too. If anyone has symptoms, runny nose or not, the best course of action is to self-isolate until recovery unless you need medical treatment, in which case do not go to the hospital, contact the medical services from your home and they will assist you. P.S. with influenza (flu) viruses you do not have runny nose either. Common cold is caused by Coronaviruses too! radusho, I am not sure that influenza does not have a runny nose, I think it often does. Indeed the common cold is caused by different coronavirus, but implying they are the same is like comparing Parnassius apollo and mnemosyne. Those are not the same and neither are the viruses that cause colds and Covid-19. Adam.

Here in France, it becomes absurd. On the one hand people who, panicked, empty the stores and, on the other side, others who jostle in queues in front of theaters or crowd in cafes or restaurants . At the same time, the government announces the closure of shops, restaurants, etc., starting at midnight. What confusion! Am very happy to go (in two days) to explore my biotopes of Parides and torquatus and to admire Morpho rhetenor in flight. Below: Parides vercingetorix Oberthür, 1888, male. I was making fun about all the stupid germans that bought up all the toilet paper in Germany, and last week here in Manchester I walked past the toilet paper and said to myself, no I am definitely not taking part in this shit show. Well, I just discovered I am running out of toilet paper at home and there is no toilet paper in Tesco left....What now? Hahahah

Before TP was invented people used corncobs, leaves, or their hands. And, many people died from lack of sanitation.
The flush toilet is a wonder of mans ingenuity. Do NOT flush regular paper, newspaper, or paper towels.
Does anyone need a roll? I’m always well prepared. Also have a fair amount of surplus .45
