I have been contacted by a friend who has received some Papilio ulysses supposedly from Banda Islands. As far as I know P. ulysses was never recorded from Banda Islands, and I suspect that the data may be "erroneous".
Has anyone heard about P. ulysses from Banda Is., either previously or recently?
Adam.

Never - sounds like an error.

Andrew Rawlins May be the one to ask.
Just because something isn’t recorded doesn’t mean it’s not there. John T told me he spent eight weeks on San Christobal and never saw P Jupiter then I dropped a fresh female on the table. Which of course he absconded with.
This will be interesting.

Never - sounds like an error. I suspect a commercial supplier 'error', which may or may not be deliberate. Adam.

Andrew replied today and really doubts that P. ulysses is on Banda at all. He never saw it when he was there and neither have 2 collectors, one of whom lived there for several years.
