I moved this post from one about Melitaea cinxia as it would never be seen there by the right people who may be able to identify it.
Please tell us where in the world you reside, then 'maybe' someone can correctly identify your mosquito for you.

I am from Chennai, India. I am a Biology teacher. In our school, mosquitoes are a slight nuisance(not much). Right now, dengue is prevalent in chennai. This mosquito, I took a photo in our campus. I just wanted to confirm that it is not Aedes.

Aedes triseriatus -tree hole mosquito (male).Is my best guess.
