I am looking to purchase a copy of this book by Jan Pasternak. Can't find it in stock on any of the booksellers websites, and I know it is out of print. Does anyone know where I might look?

I always use this for book searches: used.addall.com/I've had a lot of success finding out of print books that way. The title that you want doesn't show up now, but it could be listed at anytime.

Thank you nomad, I have just ordered it. I didn't see it a couple of weeks ago on their site when I ordered the Pasternak CD "A Naturalist in Birdwing Paradise". Looking forward to the book as the CD is excellent. Thanks again.

I enjoy Fluttering Encounters because it's not the typical "ID and Research" book. It's a nice break, and gives us insights into what it is (or was) like to be there.
And still available for $75. Some day it will be sold out, and I doubt it will ever be printed again- then watch the price. Look at the LeMaire books- I have Arsenurinae and Ceratocampinae; they are invaluable to me, and I cannot image what a copy would cost now.

It is a great book about passion, adventure, wilderness ! We are lacking such books. It reminds me the writings of Larsen, Meek and few others.

I was just advised by Bioquip that they have refunded my payment because they do not have it in stock. So still looking.

I doubt it will ever be printed again I am sure it won't be, since it was privately published and distributed by Jan. I hope you can find a copy eventually, it's a superb book. Adam.
