Saving hard for my European field trips, so not attending this very excellent fair. Modena is a great fair and I wish everyone that is going a super day. As I will not be present, can Someone please take a camera and take images of some of the rarities of the show. I am sure all the members here will enjoy seeing them.

Super images Olivier. Looks like it was another great insect fair. That's a very nice historical Delias specimen that you found. Congrats.

Thank you Peter and Danny! And the best part of the fair was : Milanese dinner with Michel, talking Delias with Jens, Papua with Thierry Porion and Alessio, Lysandra aberrations with Christian Castelain...

Appreciate very much your thoughtfulness in getting all those wonderful images for us to see Olivier ! I had no idea that Blumei and Androcles abberations fetched such sky high prices. I would have probably wanted to buy that whole Eupholus drawer because everything about it was so --- symmetrical and perfectly presented. Astonishing representation by that vendor. I've always said presentation is everything when selling. Some of my BEST collecting has either been in someone else's collection OR via some dealers especially well prepared / well represented holdings ! ! The drawers featuring European Blues, Riodinidae, and those long-tailed planthoppers were especially interesting to me. Good heavens, if I went to a show like that I'd surely drop a load of cash and be broke for a whole year. Also, that Consul excellens specimen was just AWESOME and something really different !

Thanks ! "symmetrical and perfectly presented" --> Thierry Porion is an artist ! The best insect spreader that I know.

Well, he certainly does some EXTRAORDINARY work just by the looks of that one drawer. And I know that if I could ever attend an event like this where that man was present than I would probably never have to shop at another table.... Yes, I'd say a true Rembrandt in every sense.

Does Mr. Porion have a website or business? I'm over here in America and I don't know if he would even sell or ship items here.
