Hi All
I am new at this. I am learning about insects and I observe insects and sometimes take photos of them. I am in Cape Town, South Africa.
I don't actually collect insects but I would be interested in collecting insects for other people to sell to them. You would just need to tell how to preserve the insects and post it to you.

I would suggest for you to really learn how to properly collect any Lepidoptera as they can be easily damaged. I’ve had a few friends collect specimens for me when they traveled to their home country, in one instance a friend traveling to India ended up collecting a very nice assortment of specimens but upon arrival the specimens looked exquisite but the specimens all had broken antennas, fingerprints are another common form of damage that is often inflicted by amateurs. That’s why it’s important to limit contact, use tweezers, and hold specimens by the thorax.

I totally agree with Ed, you need some expertise before you start collecting insects for sale. Knowing what your looking for helps a great deal. Preservation, condition, storage, identification, it all matters.
