Here is what my guide in Colombia (with whom I have already stayed three times in this country and especially last October) wrote about this book: "I am also very happy .. Well, in summary, about 70 photos of me from different trips and different regions were published (I think the most rare or scarce species I have put them, hehe) .. Also to feel better, the first photo that appears when you get to the book, that of Batesia hypochlora, is a picture of me .. So everything is fine ... " In principle, we will make a new trip next year, especially for the inventory of Lepidoptera diurnal in a forest in Putumayo. About Fredy, entomologist, photographer and guide, check the webpage : www.lepido-france.fr/en-colombie-avec-fredy/ First picture : the guide in the small village near the said forest, October 15, 2018 ; Second picture : Perrhybris lorena (Hewitson, 1852), Catagramma tolima aurantiaca Oberthür, 1916 and Mimoides pausanias cleombrotus (Strecker, 1885). Same location.

About the butterflies of Colombia, there is also this beautiful book (beautiful photos) published in 2016. It does not claim to exhaustivity.

Too bad it's impossible to order these books The one mentionned by Olivier has enormous shipping cost from the publisher, and the one from Jean-Marc is only available as ebook A+, Michel

I bought the second one in Bogota and my Colombian friend will bring me the first one at the next entomological meetings of Juvisy. I must wait until next September! The cost of shipping is indeed prohibitive. Remember paying 55 euros for shipping in Colombia our book on Morpho butterflies = half the price of the book!
