Thierry,
Great to see you here. Do you remember if there was significant difference in colour on the underside of true female zalmoxis? You sent me an upperside photo of the one you had some years ago, but I never did get to see the underside.
Adam.

I don't know, I've dealt with Alain ( the bugmaniac, his website) before and this is NOT his kind of game, this is very strange, I can't understand why he's confirmed its female on the other forum but not on here or on eBay. It also states that (*) the picture shows an indication of the insect and it is very possible to receive another specimen of the same species, so minor differences in colour or shape may always occur. Doesn't mention major differences in the sex of the insect? Rich

I can't remember but what is sure is that the species is quite variable in wing shape and color pattren (R and V). The confusion is easily possible.
any way, this is buying a pig in a poke !
I know Alain (he is Belgian and was not far from here). He is not entomologist. He is usually honnest but because he is not entomologist, there are things he can't verify.

I am in England and I saw that second image very early this morning, it is new. The bidding is now at $178.00. so some one believes it to be a female. Is this new image a get out clause in the event of a complaint. What is also very odd, considering the amount of posts on this web site,no one seems to have withdrawn any offers Terry.

I can't say that your confirmation is surprising.

Well, the fun is over $327 for 2 male zalmoxis, the buyer should have let me know, I would have sold you 2 for $80 and even spread them for you. The more I see on ebay the less I understand about the knowledge of people who bid on ebay, my money must be too hard to come by I suppose.
