Saturday, there was the fantastic Juvisy Insect Fair, plenty of sellers, some very rare insects, many collectors ! It was great to talk and chat with many friends including some members here.
Few pictures, sorry not so many, to give you an idea.

Wonderful showing as always Olivier ! Couple questions here. Does anyone know if the very melanic Graphium sarpedon in the second photo are naturally occuring or are they being bred to turn out that way? The pricing looks to be in the 180 to 200 Euro range. Seems pricey if these are bred. I am very surprised at the prices on the Alcides. The ones pictured are gorgeous and yet very, very reasonable prices. Are they simply not that popular for some reason with collectors? Makes no sense... Think I would have bought the whole damn box ! It is awesome to see a whole drawer of Phoebis avelleneda males. Seem to have come down in price but, still a 100 euro a pop can hurt the wallet if one finds 4 or 5 choice ones at once (and you desire them all). The Agrias and Prepona are as always stunning -- simply put. I swear if I was a man with deep pockets for the hobby; I could blow thru 10 or 12 thousand just buying these (at one sitting) before I might have my fill. Also noticed those awesome Delias messalina sure garner the maximum "throwdown" of cash to own one. Staggering... Still, lots of other very nice Delias there which are reasonably priced and won't maul your wallet ! Lastly, those Eurytides orabilis are mighty special. Oh' wow to own just one fine example of that elegant papilionid !

Oh' wow to own just one fine example of that elegant papilionid ! I will try and answer your questions : - they are wild caught aberration. Very rare but sarpedon is a common species that mud-puddles so aberration are easy to spot for local collectors. - these are the most common Alcides species, indeed they are splendid and many were sold at the end of the show. I think they are more and more popular, so beautiful. - the Italian guy with the the P. avelleneda has succeeded in the past to rear them once. I guess all these specimens come from that. - agree with you on Agrias ! I am glad you've liked the pictures. There were PLENTY of other stuff, these pictures may represent 10% of the show.

I see lots of stunning Agrias narcissus! My favorite butterfly. Yes as it flies in French Guyana, Juvisy is a good place to find some. Same for Agrias sahlkei.

Only a few, then Were there less Papilionidae than usual this year, or did you just take photos of less of those? Looks like the Parnassius have Churkin labels on at least some of them. Was this box on Sergei's stand? I hope he is keeping well. Adam.

I have taken fewer photos this year (too busy chatting with friends).
