Last June, in the Luberon (Provence, France), despite the bad weather (continuous storms), butterflies were numerous, including three species: Limenitis reducta, usually common, literally swarmed. Pandoriana pandora and Nymphalis polychloros were more present than usual. On the other hand, on the Montagne de Lure, Parnassius apollo had not emerged at the end of the same month. Similarly for Papilio alexanor. Also note that P. machaon seems to become rare (2 or 3 samples observed in one month !).
