On 18 May 2018 the National Museum of Natural History finally opened to the public. The museum is located in Rizal Park (where the national hero José Rizal was executed by the Spaniards) at the very center of Manila. A historical building has been renovated and converted for the purpose. At the opening, 6 of total 12 galleries at the museum has been opened to the public, the remaining 6 expected to be open to the public in June. Entrance is free and it is open Tuesdays to Sundays from 10-15.
