I am new to this forum. I collect butterflies, but only ones I have caught myself. I get many opportunities to go all over the world due to my work. I don't normally go on forums, but I felt like I had to show this one off. How much is something like this worth?

Welcome to ICF.
This M.rhetenor is awesome and condition is not so bad too. If I would catch such rarity my self it could be priceless.
Paul
PS Look forward to see it mounted.

Incredible ! The catch of anyone's lifetime. A bi-lateral gynandromorph wild caught is equivalent to seeing up close the proverbial white buffalo or unicorn. Don't ever sell it for the love or need of money; you have a personal attachment that very few can ever speak of. Enjoy your very rare gift as long as possible.

I worry that I will have an earthquake, and it will get damaged.
I did see this buttery a few day before I caught it, it was flying very hi, chasing other males (like a male would, more male genes). I told people about it at work, but after looking it up on-line, I started thinking I did not really see one, then I caught it two days later in the same place I first seen it. It was a very good day. And on that day, I took about 4 other people out with me (most of the time, I am by my self), so it was nice to have witnesses.

I do have some vids on youtube on how to catch morphos (search for 'How to catch morpho butterflies') I find them to be the easiest butterflies to catch, now.

Truly splendid find! I have seen some amazing butterflies, but this must be one of the best ones yet. Amazing on youtube too! Was not that easy to catch for me regards Peik

Amazing specimen. I collected so many insects in my life but never any gyns. Well done.

I caught the butterfly on October 01, 2016 in French Guiana, 6.5 miles south east of Sinnamary (5.298305, -52.923044). The land is owned by C.S.G., and I had their permission to be there, being that I am one of their customers. Back in 2015, they put some of the butterflies I caught on their web site. Here is a pic of the other side.
