Hi! Kaspar here, i am a Norwegian teen, and half my life i have been living on Madagascar. During that time, me and my father collected a number of butterflies, moths, beetles and arachnids. I have minimal knowledge about the animals themselves, and mainly catch them to put them on the wall or give away to friends and family. Yet, i have caught a lot of butterflies and want to identify as many as i can by joining this forum. My main interests are Acraeas and scorpions. In Madagascar we collected a variety of transparent Acraeas, some of them had striking red semi-transparent colours on their wings. So far, the forum seem very helpful, and hope it further on will help me

Welcome to the forum. It sounds like you had an interesting time in Madagascar, collecting insects is a great way to spend childhood.
Please do post photos in the Identification section, and I am sure different members may be able to help with different groups of insects.
Adam.

Welcome to the forum. I have an interest, as do others, in all African species of butterfly, including Madagascan, so let us see if we can help. As Adam suggests photos are a good start.
