Hello all, I am a young man from Montana and I have recently graduated with a degree in Microbiology. While I often look at much smaller creatures, I interned in an entomology lab at Montana State University, and grew to love working with the wide variety of insects found here in Montana. I understand some of the basics of preservation and identification, but have much I need to learn as I continue with the study and preservation of insect samples. My current project is to collect samples of the extinct Rocky Mountain Locust and preserve them in Resin.
I hope to learn a lot from those of you who have been here awhile, and I am interested in hearing what got you started in collecting insects. -Tegner

Welcome to the club, Tegner. I live in Reno, NV and collect a little bit of everything, but my main interests are Butterflies, Moths , and Beetles.
