Well, the end of 2014 is upon us. In light of that, I think it would be fun to see photos of everyone's favourite acquisitions from this past year.
Some simple rules: - keep the number of specimens to 12 or less (1 per month!) - bought or caught, or otherwise, is just fine, but it must have been added to your collection during 2014

From this year it would have to be Parides ascanius, Salamis cytora female, Papilio weymeri pair, Teinopalpus aureus wujiensis and Papilio hellanichus. I have probably bought less specimens this year than at any other point in the last 10.

Pseudacraea warburgiCaught 5/VII/2014 Nebobongo, Haut-Uele, DRC * It was a toss-up between this and a form of Pseudacraea eurytus, but catching this one was more memorable... they are such zippy little butterflies!

Papilio mechowianus ♀ Caught 1/VII/2014 Nebobongo, Haut-Uele, DRC * Perhaps not as stunning as many other Papilio, but quite a sight to see this large butterfly ponderously weaving its way through the forest undergrowth.
