That is striking for a 'cabbage white'.

I have been in Las Canarias during summer 2014:
Pieris cheiranthi cheiranthis is being rather scarce in tenerif, but still flies in the City Parks of the West Coast. And it is still present in La Gomera....
Pieris cheiranthis benchoavensis is not treatened at all, and can even be abundant in La Palma.
Hope this helps. Cheers, XavM

Some pics of the early stages of Pieris cheiranthi: Hello Jan, very nice photos of P. cheiranthi immatures. As I said in 2006, it's a small world! Keith

Super abs Rich looks like your breeding efforts certainly payed off. How rare is the extinct Pieris wollastoni or as many prefer Pieris brassicae ssp. wollastoni in collections.

Very rare in my collection (non existent in fact), yes I'm not sure about them being separate species to brassicae, from what I've read cheiranthi has been separated on account it doesn't enter diapause, does brassicae in Africa?

Very nice. I see you have labelled your specimens as a subspecies of Pieris brassicae

Disease brought in by other Pieris. I think it was Wollbachia.
