Lastly this guy was seen on one visit to the museum recording for a TV programme. Do you know who he is, I do believe you may have seen him somewhere before.

Looks like a certain D. Attenborough. I was fortunate to meet him in the late 1970s (maybe 1980) and he signed my copy of his book Life on Earth.

Would anyone know where that super-sized Megachilid comes from and if there are very many specimens of it known to be in major collections. I know megachilidae get quite impressive in size but, never heard of this species nor have I ever seen it pictured or mentioned before. Simply awesome ! Hope the species is still around....
