To get eggs from a female you need growing foodplant. The easiest way is to have a plant or two growing in a flowerpot with a netting cage over it. Give the female(s) plenty of food - sugar water on a cotton wool pad on the outside of the cage is easiest. You should then get plenty of eggs. I once reared this species from eggs somebody sent me from Sweden, it wasn't difficult except that, like all coppers, they refused to pair in captivity the following spring.

Thanks Bob. I did that with the first female i had, but as i wrote earlier she did not lay eggs for 3 days. i fed her 2 times daily, and there was alot of sunshine. I have reared som other lycaenidae and usually they started laying eggs the same day. I'll see how it goes. Maybe the first one had not mated yet? The new female was very fresh, so i hope that she has mated allready
