when i'm not busy setting specimens and sorting out the drawer space in the collection study room I have a couple of money absorbing past times, my garden which is my place to chill after 12 hour shifts and my fish tank which is more enjoyable than some of the rubbish on T.V. here are a few shots of my little piece of heaven.. What a splendid garden, Rich ! Congrats ! Must be the perfect place to relax indeed !
I love gardening too and I am very frustrated not having a real garden. I have a terrace though where I have about 20 plants that I cherish a lot.

Thanks Olivier, it is indeed a perfect place to relax after a hard days or nights work, it's totally surrounded by a 2 metre fence and the garden is sunk down by about 30cm so i can not see any neighbours and the only time I can see anyone else's windows is the winter time when the leaves are off the trees so during the summer it's totally private.
I have to admit I was useless for the first few years and only had a few pots dotted around the yard but when I got into it things grew, my grandmother was the gardener in the family, my dad picked a few things up from her but I think I must have inherited her green fingers and to me a garden need plenty of structure with planting to soften the edges. As most of them are perennials it's pretty bare during the winter but just now everything is starting to stir, as you can see in the photos these are late spring last year, I'll take a photo today and you will see the contrast.
