I believe no one from this forum use drawers from Paradox company located in Poland . I used to do them by my self but the cost of material and my labour is not really economic anymore . I've got few drawers made by Bioquip out of USA but the cost is high and they make them upon North American standards ( different sizes and closing system ) . I would prefer to continuing my collection with European standard drawers. Any reference and expiriance about that subject would help me and maybe other members as well.

I buy my drawers from Nature & Passion like many French entomologists. Maybe more expensive than East-European suppliers but top-quality + Camille Le Piouf is a nice guy.

Thanks Olivier
The quality is first over the cost to protect the collection .

Paradox is a good company. Execute orders for the British museum, scientific institutes. The boss is Darek SkibiĆski - quietly speaks English.

Although I have not bought any of his drawers I have handled them, they are well made and in my opinion very good value for the money. As you will know from his web site, there are many combinations you can choose from, type of wood handles etc even the size of drawer. Terry.

Paul, I'll show you something . I have about 40 showcases paradoxa . Each has a logo , a serial number. So it looks like they fit .

Grzegorz you are lucky to have this company in Poland . Easy access to buy . I have to order all entomological equipment to Canada or Thailand from US or Europe and shipping is rather not cheap . Let me ask you what type of wood you buy for your drawers ?

Paul I have at home two types of cabinets with Paradox . Meranti wood display cases - Shorea acuminata - light wood. The second type of wood is oak - Quercus - showcases are heavier than meranti wood . Oak are less susceptible to accidental bumps . Meranti wood - tolerant to changes in humidity . about shipping - instead of using DHL for example my friends enjoy the sea route. Package goes a long time but costs about half as much .... Grzegorz

I was thinking between those two more economical options as I have to add for each drawer same cost for shipping even by sea but on the other hand if meranti wood is more resistand for humid maybe that is the better option as I have to move all my collection to Thailand .

meranti wood does not bend, do not swell as moist environment, very resistant to fungi. Good choice !!
