i need alittle more help. Im labeling all my butterflies from the philippines now. I have some trouble with Mycalesis. On the bottom is a pair which i have determined as Mycalesis ita sinonia. The above one looks different, it resembles the female ita, but from the sent hair and the shape of the wings and abdomen it is clearly a male specimen. I've looked around on the internet and found some pics determined as Mycalesis felderi from Mindoro that looks exactly the same as my top specimen. But according to the revised checklist of leps from phillipines from 2012 it does not occur on Mindoro. I have 2 specimens of the darker coloration specimen, the rest are brigther colored ones like the ita. Is it 2 separate spp, or just colorvariation?

My 2 cents : Mycalesis are a nightmare They are very variable. Good luck.
