Friends, Hello! Does anyone have any thoughts on this Parnassius? Russia, Altai, Ust’-Koksinsky district, Katunsky ridge, Akkem lake, 2100 m., 13.07.1993. In the place where he was found flying Parnassius corybas alpestris. Is this male likely an aberration or a hybrid? Attachments:

Hello Dear radusho!
Thank you, very interesting information! I could not even imagine that this pattern could refer to the species Parnassius apollo. The structure of its wings is very gentle as in parnassius corybas and its wingspan is less than 5 centimeters. Although it seems that Parnassius apollo pumilus is also quite small in comparison with other apollo? He was caught with a lot of parnassius corybas alpestris so I thought it was a form prone to reduction. Sadly that he got to me in such a bad condition Once at the forum mbioli it was suggested as a hybrid of Parnassius phoebus (former Parnassius ariadne) and Driopa stubbendorfii. The main thing is that none of my friends in the collections have such samples, which is very annoying, even on the Internet there are no similar photos.
