I have some pictures of this insect which I'll attach at the end of the post but the pictures aren't all that great so I'll offer up a description as well.
First of all, I live in NE Oklahoma. For the past week or two I've been encountering one of these bugs at night in my room which has a wall unit A/C, periodically. At first I thought they were lightning bugs. One actually was, but the others weren't. I'm curious to find out what these are. The wings don't have a hard shell so I'm guessing these are proper bugs rather than beetles.
The antennae are black for about 60-70% with the remainder (nearest its head) being a yellow-orange. They are thin and fragile looking.
Its head is relatively small, yellow-orange with two black ball-like eyes on either side.
There's then a small segment to which one leg is attached on each side. This segment is black on top, yellow-orange on bottom.
The rest of its back is obscured by its wings. Its wings are longer than its body, but run to about the length of its "false head" - two fake antennae on its butt which are yellow-orange. The wings are a black-ish color with a stroke along their outer perimeter with a yellow-orange.
There are 6 legs and they are are yellow, black, yellow(joint), black, yellow, with black "feet."
Its body on the underside is a yellow-orange. It does not appear to have a hard/armored carapace.
It's pretty small, about half the length of a dime I'd say, not accounting for its antennae. And it can certainly fly. They seem to mostly like the white popcorn-textured ceiling. Though, this little guy landed on my arm.
Here in these images you can see the insect between a piece of scotch tape on top of a quarter...

I do apologize for the quality of the photos.
edit: I don't think it's a Margined Leatherwing Beetle as its rear is not longer than its wings and its wings lack a hard shell, though the coloration is quite similar to some species.
