Dear Radovan,
I hope you are doing well.
I do overwinter species in an open box covered by brown paper and put it under the stairs close to my wall house. This prevents wake up, protects form spiders, risks of rainfall, and too cold temperatures. If the forecast are very bad - e.g. minus 10°C, I, then put the box in my garage (12-15°C) until the temperature goes up.
You would need - once a month - to possibly vapour water (directly on the protected box) in case it is too dry.
I had less than 20% loss.
I hope this helps. Best wishes, Xavier

Dear Radovan,
I overwintered V. atalanta, I. io, G. rhamni and cleopatra without troubles. Even in the French Provence, winters can be very cold.
Knowing the species you wish to overwinter, I am afraid I can't tell you whether this may work, I never tried. I would believe the adults will need to feed some times to times.
Best wishes, Xavier
