Hello folks. My name is Ben and I am new to this in all its forms. I grew up on a nursery in Devon and spent my childhood collecting butterflies (predominantly Red Admirals that loved the plants) that were trapped in the greenhouses and setting them free. Based in london now I work in TV and have been looking for a hobby that would switch me off and enable me to handle butterflies once again. Two young children and I am really keen to share with them the joy of the life-cycle and beauty of the species. Ideally I'd love to learn (and to be shown by someone who keeps butterflies in london) how to keep and gestate butterflies and then eventually mount them as specimens. But I have zero experience in handling caterpillars or pupae and am unsure where to start. Could ideally use some steerage as I embark on this new journey. Cheers

and visit the AES fair in October at Kempton Park Racecourse. A great day out for you or your family with lots of bugs, both livestock and deadstock and all things entomological.
