Hello there,
My name is Sam and I'm a documentary maker and amber collector.
I work periodically in Northern Myanmar, where some of the world's oldest (99-100myo) and best-preserved insect specimens are mined from 400 feet under the ground. I work as a journalism instructor but I also make videos and I study amber from a business, scientific, and entomological perspective.
Most recently I produced a film in my home city of Ottawa. You can check out the link below if you're interested in seeing Canada's national collection of amber specimens. It might just be amateurish and juvenile for most people interested in entomology, but the video is geared for the general population, so please keep that in mind!
