A very,very nice species indeed ! Have always desired that one as well as escalantiana. Tough things to get here in the states.... The males will generally cost you an arm and the females your leg ! But, what an exquisite butterfly species and a heck of a gem to have in the collection. Bravo...

Well, I don't know how in the world you could ever come across this species on the cheap; unless somebody practically gave them away to you for "being a close friend" or otherwise willed them to you. This species along with 2 or 3 others (that I can think of offhand) tends to command the stiffest prices amongst the Prepona. That is if they are A1 or close to it. I'm very fond of Prepona and have been following the pricing and condition of the rarer species occasionally offered for the last year and a half. I had some bids tossed in here and there (including up-bids) and have still gotten skunked by others with bottomless pockets. I still commend you on your wonderful acquisitions..... What a butterfly!
