From this year it would have to be parides ascanius, salamis cytora female, papilio weymeri pair, Teinopalpus aureus wujiensis and papilio hellanichus. I have probably bought less specimens this year than at any other point in the last 10. Do you have any pictures to share with us?

I have posted them already but here is a good one Aglais cashmiriensis, an old Indian specimen.

* My representative of the Theclinae family... so many pretty little blue butterflies. Theclinae is a subfamily, and as a higher ranking name than genus level doesn't need to be italicised, although you can do if you prefer. If it was a 'family' it would be called "Theclidae", as family names end in -idae. Subfamily names end in -inae and tribe names end in -ini. Subtribes end in -ina, eg Troidini is the name for the whole tribe, but subtribe Troidina contains all genera except Battus which belongs in subtribe Battina, reflecting the early separation of Battus from the rest of the Troidini. Somewhat confusingly subtribe names are also often quoted with an -iti suffix, but that is not compliant with ICZN Code article 29.2. Adam.

I'll get the hang of nomenclature soon enough. Tom
