Vanessa atalanta was and is that special butterfly, Good memories of my childhood back in Poland. I still enjoy them a lot while I am in Canada.

Attachment DeletedAtalanta had the best year in the north of England in living memory, although seen in lowish numbers in any year the last 10 have been really poor until this summer when there was a population explosion starting in early august and continuing until mid/late october. These examples were taken in late september from a disused brickyard across from my local supermarket that has been derelict for long enough for Buddleia bushes to spread like wild fire, also very common until late october were A Urticae, P C Album and V Cardui, inachis io having it's second very poor summer in a row.

Wolf. Impressive series of photographs of the early stages. That butterfly always brings back happy memories.

I can't believe how much I got for my money at decembers fair, I will try to post some pictures but I'm having terrible problems making them small enough to post.

You could join a Free hosting image site, just one click and hey presto they are here, well at least for most of the time. I have found the imgur site good, just google it.
