Aren't they great?! A close up of the D.R. Congo ("Zaire") specimens: And the nice heavily marked yellow one from Cameroon: And a couple of males, alongside the moths (Zygaenidae?) they mimic: These are, of course, Pseudaletis antimachus (Staudinger, 1887). I hope you enjoyed them as much as I do!

Superb species. I did wonder how there could be 40 antimachus in a single draw, even females.

Yes caught me out with that title too Adam, very crafty Tom, I could probably get 40 female Papilio antimachus in one of my Ornithoptera drawers but I'd settle for just one of those beneath my 3 males in a more standard drawer.
Nice series of a lovely little bug.

seems that the guy who caught some, continues to get some more in good quality. then the market is probably falling.

lol I have to admit, I read the title of this thread, and for a split second I thought "Wow! That's a lot of Papilio antimachus!"... I'll blame it on the loooong day I've had.
