this species is under CITES in Europe currently No it isn't. It is protected under EU regulations, CITES is different. Adam.

I agree with you that 'protected', whether under EU law or CITES, is 'protected' but I was trying to explain the difference, particularly so that non-Europeans understand that the EU regulations only apply within the EU whereas CITES applies virtually worldwide.

It says "ONLY FOR EU" on the listing, presumably the seller cannot get the necessary EU permit for export.

Oh my - it's Hermann Gerstner. Last I heard, he was retired and living somewhere offshore...Canary Islands, I think. Back in Germany, I see.

i have this fresh looking male now.and it is from 1987. the female from insects more i think its from the 60`s beccause i have some 60`s stuff from this old colection.
