Here is an image of a species from the Chrysomelidae family that I took above the Gondo Gorge at 1600 meters in Switzerland. A male has come to investigate a mating pair. Does anyone know which species this is.

A few more of these beautiful small beetles from Switzerland, if you know what they are let me know. Thanks. This one had a very a very rough Elytra . Upper Rossbodental Valley 2000 meters. Blue... Lower Rossbodental Valley 1500 meters. Square shaped beauty, Lagginthal Valley 1600 meters.

Thank you for the reply. A difficult group in Europe then. In the UK with much fewer species we can usually get an ID from external features alone. I am going to add one of my favourite species that I found here recently in another thread. A strong association with its foodplant was an excellent starter for an ID. I do enjoy finding these little jewels.
