On the original subject, the visit of Paul K; he went to Wang Chin, Phrae today to stay at Punjen Hideaway for a week. After the end of his trip hopefully he will be able to let us all know about the interesting specimens he caught both in Chiang Mai and Phrae. Adam. Indeed I have found some new to me interesting species near Chiang Mai. Now we stay in Wang Chin at the border of National Park mainly for moth night collecting. It is actually first time for me in Thailand after more then 10 years that I seat most of the night at the light trap. So far was a good night and many new species include about 10 Sphingids. Many males of Attacus atlas came last night but old beat up specimens. Unfortunately to see results of the trip we will have to wait till spring next year when I will be staying in Canada for few months. Paul

Turn the light on early, the best Sphingid species tend to arrive just as it is getting dark, sometimes even before dark, or in the first half hour or so after dusk. The common species mostly come in about 2-3 hours after dark, but there are some more interesting species at 1am, or thereabouts.

Talking about "visitors", nick visited my Delias collection yesterday in Milan.
We talked a lot about Delias, Lycaenidae, SE Asia, Solomon islands, Papua... but also Italian food and politics ! Always good to see in "real life" other ICF members !

Presumably your collection is not normally exposed to light like that.
It is great to hear that ICF members can get to meet each other in various places, as well as at the European shows.

Presumably your collection is not normally exposed to light like that. You presume well.
